Work related

Finish paperwork at work (e. g. time reporting).

Book hotel

Make a booking for an first night if you want to log onto an inconvenient hour, have traveled for lots of hours or you get to high season (where finding accommodations may be difficult). There are many your services for booking or just use your travel company.

Sticky labels

Get sticky tag words and write peoples name on them, then just stick them onto your postcards.

Visa

Get necessary visas for that passport. Start this process in time since it is an time consuming. Sometimes available visa on arrival. Detect visa section for displays.

Certificate of Immunizations

Bring an individual's Certificate of Immunizations (health book)

Drivers license

If different kinds of on driving bring your permit along. Get an international drivers license if needed.

Other cards

Bring other related cards such as airline bonus cards, phone homemade cards, student cards (e. b. ISIC) to obtain auctions, Hostelling International card and so forth. If you have an e-ticket it's was registered to bank cards, make sure that you take over relevant card along.

Insurance

Make sure you are in a paper which states your coverage with policy number and other interesting data. If you live in european countries and will visit another country in the E. E. get a European Health insurance protection Card which entitles you to receive health care to your same economic conditions as the citizens of the country you will visit.

Ticket and find out itinerary

Bring your ticket and all itinerary along.

Print addresses to:

* Embassies

* Health clinic where you got your immunizations

* Business enterprise. Note if there are special emergency phone numbers (sometimes reverse charge)

* The right bank/credit card issuer for you to report stolen/lost cards

* Go back and forth agent

* Traveler´ s cheques issuers part of a state office

* Hotels

* Emergency contacts

* Addresses and phone numbers to friends(for postcards)

Photo

Bring passport photos if needed applying for a visa on arrival otherwise you lose your passport and to possess a new.

Book to read inside your plane

Get it ahead of time to the airport (where these are typically more expensive).

Photocopies

Make photocopies of all important documents such as:

* Visa

* Passport

* Tickets

* Drivers license of Immunizations (health book)

* Maps contained in the guidebook (in order not to have to carry the e book along while walking around)

Store the photocopies in different separate location from the continual originals and protect the copies from rain over the plastic cover.

Upload copies

If you could get a scanner you could scan the photocopies (see prior bullet) and upload these kinds of phones the Internet (e. b. send an e-mail on your with the files attached). If you do not have a scanner you can also make a photo with your digital instead of scanning. Feel free to e-mail them to a friend or your family.

Print information from the Internet

Print your data gathered on the Internet about your destination).

Your own checklist

Make a copy of your own checklist (based on this one) and be prepared with. It may be for insurance purposes if the right luggage is lost/stolen.

Phrase list

A small list with the most useful phrases in the local language to keep towards you wallet/purse for easy access or with the mp3-player.

There are electronic ones one may download to your cell sensor or portable computer. In addition there are a separate electronic device or a good old paper book: )

Passport

Apply for a passport well in advance if you do not have one. Check the expiry date inside of your passport. Some countries require for it to be valid for at least six months from your date of numerous entry.

Check the state to your passport, I was once tens of refused to board an aircraft to Japan because the page with my passport photo was almost falling out in clumps of my passport (a well know quality problem with some Swedish passports). This can also keep you from getting a visa.
